
As Eminem tipped his hat to a long list of hip-hop idols at a star-studded, 512-hour ceremony at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles, he thanked them for not only inducting him into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame but also saving his life.
During Em’s “Sing for the Moment,” Steven Tyler (who played Dido on “Stan”) and Ed Sheeran (who played Dido on “Stan”) performed parts of their own songs, and Dr. Dre welcomed Eminem to the hall.

The Detroit rapper then took the podium and rattled off a list of 100-plus artists from hip-hop’s golden age — a list alphabetical, beginning with 2 Live Crew and ending with YZ, including big names like the Notorious B.I.G., 2Pac, Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, and of course Dr. Dre — who he said would not be where he is without them.
