A unique music scene can be found in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which is one of the richest and most vibrant scenes in the upper Midwest. Hip-hop has been evolving over the last few years, with new artists from around the world adding elements previously lacking. As a result of all of these factors, one Milwaukee artist is standing out from the crowd in the genre as he brings forth a distinctive sound that is both rooted in the city he came from and the music he was inspired by.
In Rio Vidal is not only a member of the growing generation of hip-hop artists, but he is also a pioneer in the development of new musical styles that are being developed. In recent years, Rio has garnered the attention of many because of the structure and consciousness of his lyrics, the smooth beats, and the Milwaukee-style sound that is also claimed to be unique to him.
A significant distribution and publishing agreement has been in place for Rio Vidal since his entrance into the music business in 2010. As music has always been a passion of his for as long as he can remember, it has always been in his blood. The first time he discovered that he was as passionate about music as his parents was when he was in third grade. When Rio’s father was a professional DJ in the 1990s during Coo Coo Cal and Oz’s road trips across the country, he was an important influence on Rio’s success in the music industry.
It is no secret that rapper Rio Vidal draws inspiration from a variety of genres in his music. Originally composed by him on his own, the lyrics he composes for his songs are influenced by his own experiences and feelings. He grew up listening to many artists, including Outkast, Goodie Mob, Mary J. Blige, Lauryn Hill, and many others, during his formative years. During his middle school years, Rio Vidal became enamored with hip-hop music when he first heard Kanye West’s music for the first time.
He learned a lot about the voice during his studio sessions, as well as the feeling that goes along with recording a song in the studio. Aside from drawing from his experience of life, Rio Vidal’s music is infused with a unique spirit and style that has been bringing a whole new energy to the industry of music.
“ As a child, I grew up listening to 70’s soul music. I became a musician because I was inspired by hip-hop. The vocals add a layer of reverberation to the dope drum beats. I think it would be the perfect place to listen to and dance to it, as well as drink and smoke.”
“I am not afraid of putting my music out there and being myself. It might never happen again for someone else what I’ve done, and that is so cool. Since I write songs about myself, that’s what I’m offering the music industry. It is impossible to find anyone else like me, and no one has seen or known anyone like me.”
At some point in the near future, Rio Vidal intends to return to Atlanta, to live in a suburb, to chill with his family and get ready for another tour around the world.
My aim is to have my voice heard all around the world, so that I can make a difference. No matter where you are from, I hope that my music and my life can inspire you and give you a sense of accomplishment, no matter where you are. As I look toward the future, I am certain that I will keep my grind, my work ethic, and my hustle no matter what the future holds for me in the music industry,” Vidal said.
